Firefighter injured, two kittens saved at early morning house fire on South Side

Syracuse, N.Y. — Two kittens were rescued from a burning Syracuse home early Thursday morning, firefighters said.
Around 9 a.m., firefighters spotted smoke coming from a home located down a long driveway behind 251 Furman St., according to Capt. Phillip Vogt, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Fire Department.
